Hi, I'm Kate

 

MULTI-PASSIONATE MAMA
& CREATIVE PHOTOGRAPHER

My journey as a self-taught photographer with a passion for women's health began at home, where periods were taboo and a camera became my escape. Over the past 15 years, I've immersed myself in both digital & film photography. Becoming a certified labor doula in 2024, I always wondered where my love for photography and commitment to women's health would intersect. The answer was right in front of me all along! Finding myself at the crossroads of birth work and mindful photography, I am driven to build something greater than myself; a community initiative fueled by shared passion.

When Kate's avia [grandmother in Latin] gifted her an herbal called Grandma's Herbs at a young age, it awakened her connection to natural healing, evidence-based care, and generational knowledge. Founding aviastud.io two decades later, we aim to honor life and empower families through the combination of birth work & mindful photography. By cultivating a deep sense of connection in each moment, we commit to photographing and preserving the essence of love, strength, and resilience of birth in every story.
