What types of photography services do you offer?

We want you to tell our story! How does it work?

Let's chat first! If you've submitted an inquiry form, I'll reach out within 48 hours. If you booked a consultation, I can't wait to get to know you & your vision. After our initial call, we will send you a welcome packet & pricing information. Together, we'll schedule a planning session, talk about the details, and worry about the paperwork later. There is no commitment necessary before your free consultation and planning session. You can also read more about our process here. I look forward to meeting you and working with you in the meantime! For any questions, call me or shoot me a text. I am available anytime!

Why don't you include pricing on your website?

Let’s chat first! We believe in quality over quantity — prioritizing connection, commitment, and collaboration. Our standard pricing is shared in our Welcome Packet after our initial call (book a consultation here). However, if you’d prefer to receive it via email without setting up an initial call, please let us know via this form instead. We strive to make our services accessible, so if you need an adjustment, don’t hesitate to ask — we’d be happy to work with you!

Mini sessions usually take anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour. No matter the type of session, we ensure your comfort throughout the session and provide ample time for all of the special moments.

What happens if the weather is unfavorable on the day of an outdoor shoot?

Before the shoot, I closely monitor the weather and will be in touch if the weather proves unfavorable. There's a few options:

1️⃣ Reschedule: I offer a flexible rescheduling policy, allowing us to pick a new date that works for you.

2️⃣ Alternative Location: We can move the session to an indoor location while still maintaining the essence of your vision.

3️⃣ Embrace the Weather: Sometimes, a little rain or moody skies can create stunning, unique photos! If you're open to it, we can use clear umbrellas, cozy layers, or sheltered spots to make the most of the moment.

FOR BIRTH PHOTOGRAPHY, SCROLL DOWN

BIRTH PHOTOGRAPHY

Why Birth Photography?

Birth photography is not just about capturing the memories - it's about preserving the essence of love, strength, and resilience of YOUR birth story. At a time when reproductive justice, healthcare autonomy, and birth equity are more important than ever, birth photography serves as an act of reclaiming your power – a way of saying, “Do you see me now?" while documenting your birthing experience.

Birth photography is intimidating...

Yes, it can be! However, as a certified labor (pro)doula, your ease and comfort are my top priority. I’ll be on-call for you starting at 37 weeks, ensuring that you feel supported every step of the way. With the utmost respect for the intimate nature of the process, my goal as your photographer is to capture your birth without jeopardizing your birthing experience. I am committed to respecting your privacy and creating a safe space. Let’s set up a call so you can get to know me and decide if I’m the right birth photographer for you.

What do you photograph during birth?

What I photograph during your birth is ultimately up to you and your comfort level with the birthing process! In our planning session, we will discuss the plan for your vision and the answers to your questionnaire. This includes your birth plan, the nudity scale, any lighting preferences, etc.

What is the nudity scale?

The nudity scale allows you to choose your level of comfort with the intimate and vulnerable nature of birth. It helps to set a foundation for the vision of your birth story and allows me to understand your preferences. In other words, it determines what I do and do not photograph.

When do you arrive at my birth?

Soon after active labor begins! I ask that you call me at the onset of active labor (defined as 6cm dilated). This allows me to arrive in time and stay for the remainder of your birth. If you are not planning to receive physical exams (e.g. cervical checks, etc.), please let me know in advance so we can set up good communication protocols.

Expecting a precipitous birth? If so, please contact me at the first sign of labor so I can head out to you as soon as possible. No matter what, I will do everything in my power not to miss the most important day of your life. Rest assured, we will cover all of this and more in our planning session!

How long do you stay?

Arriving shortly after active labor begins, I will stay until the end of the golden hour or as long as it takes to capture the essence of your birth story. This usually means once the family rests together. At that point, I will capture a few afterglow photos and be on my way to give you much-deserved space to take it all in.
